Kondopoga Pulp and Paper Mill, part of the Taiga Group, has completed its scheduled annual major equipment overhaul following a four-day maintenance program conducted from July 6 to 9.

During the shutdown, the mill's employees and contractors completed more than 440 maintenance, diagnostic, inspection, and equipment upgrade tasks across production facilities, utilities, and site infrastructure.

A key focus of the overhaul was the mill's thermal power plant, which supplies heat and hot water to both the production facilities and the city of Kondopoga. Scheduled maintenance was also carried out in the mill's continuous production workshops to support ongoing operations.

As part of the mill's Year of Ecology initiative, specialists completed the next phase of modernizing utility systems at the industrial wastewater treatment plant. According to the company, the work forms part of its preparations for obtaining a second comprehensive environmental permit.

Executive Director Andrey Reutov said the annual overhaul is an important investment in the mill's operational reliability and equipment efficiency, adding that all planned work was completed in full and according to the approved schedule.

Safety remained a priority throughout the maintenance program. The mill's safety specialists monitored activities to ensure compliance with occupational health, workplace safety, and fire safety requirements while making operational adjustments when needed.

Security Director Pavel Yeshakov said oversight focused on the proper use of personal protective equipment, the safe operation of tools and equipment, and the timely identification and elimination of workplace hazards, enabling the overhaul to be completed as planned.
