Konecranes to Modernize PALM’s Paper Roll Warehouse with Automated Crane System

Konecranes has secured a contract to modernize the paper roll warehouse of PALM Group with the installation of four new automated cranes.

According to the company, the project will involve replacing existing equipment with advanced automation technology designed to improve operational efficiency, safety, and storage capacity. The new cranes will be integrated into the warehouse’s material handling system, enabling more precise and reliable movement of paper rolls.

Konecranes said the modernization will support PALM’s efforts to optimize its logistics processes while maintaining consistent performance in paper handling operations. The automation upgrade is also expected to reduce manual intervention and enhance overall workflow within the facility.

The scope of the project includes engineering, delivery, installation, and commissioning of the automated cranes. Once completed, the upgraded system will provide improved handling speeds and more efficient use of storage space.
