Kuantum Papers has completed a major upgrade of its Paper Machine 2 (PM2), marking a significant investment in manufacturing technology aimed at improving product quality, process control, and operational efficiency.
The modernization project involved a comprehensive enhancement of key machine components. Upgrades include the installation of a new CD dilution control headbox, a pond size press, and a calender. The company also implemented an upgraded steam and condensate system, added an extra dryer section, and integrated an advanced Quality Control System (QCS) along with Distributed Control System (DCS) controls across stock preparation and approach flow.
According to the company, the project was completed in a record 32 days through coordinated execution by its internal team.
The PM2 upgrade is expected to deliver measurable gains in production performance, consistency, and process optimization. It reflects Kuantum Papers’ ongoing focus on strengthening its manufacturing capabilities through targeted technology investments.
The company stated that the initiative represents a step toward building a more efficient and quality-driven production ecosystem, supporting its broader operational and product development objectives.
