Kuantum Papers Restarts Upgraded Paper Machine-3 After Major Rebuild

Kuantum Papers Limited has successfully restarted its Paper Machine-3 (PM3) following the completion of a major technological upgradation and rebuild project, the company announced. The start-up took place on August 26 after extensive trial runs.
The machine is located at Kuantum Papers' primary manufacturing facility in Saila Khurd, District Hoshiarpur, Punjab.
The PM3 rebuild forms part of the company's strategy to enhance production capacity and improve operational efficiency. The upgraded machine incorporates a top Former, Film Press, improved automation and enhanced drying capability.
According to the company, the technological improvements are intended to optimize operational efficiency and increase overall production throughput.
The upgraded PM3 is also expected to support future product diversification, enabling the company to expand into higher-value writing and printing paper and specialty paper grades.
The successful restart marks the completion of the rebuild and trial phase for the upgraded machine as Kuantum Papers continues its capacity and operational enhancement plans.
