Kyiv, Ukraine – Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill has temporarily suspended operations following a drone attack in Kyiv on April 3, the company confirmed in a statement.
The mill, known for producing toilet paper under the “Obukhiv” brand, halted production for safety reasons and to address the consequences of the strike. The company said the decision was made to protect employees while assessing the situation and managing any damage.
In its statement, the company emphasized that the facility is not connected to military infrastructure and focuses solely on manufacturing consumer goods for civilian use. It described the incident as an attack affecting civilian industry and the supply of essential household products.
The temporary shutdown is expected to disrupt the supply of key paper products widely used in Ukrainian households. These include toilet paper products such as “Obukhiv 65,” items from the “Divo” range, other sanitary and hygiene goods, and corrugated packaging materials.
The company stated that employee safety remains its primary priority and that the situation continues to be monitored closely by relevant authorities and services.
Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill expressed hope that it will resume full operations once conditions allow, enabling it to continue supplying essential paper products to the domestic market.
