LC Paper, a family-owned Spanish paper manufacturer, closed 2025 with €53 million in revenue and an adjusted EBITDA of €6 million, while announcing the start of paper production using bamboo pulp, marking a new step in the company’s sustainability strategy.

The Girona-based company has begun incorporating bamboo-based pulp as an alternative fiber in its production process. The initiative is aimed at diversifying raw materials and reducing dependence on traditional wood pulp while advancing more sustainable paper manufacturing practices.

Bamboo is gaining attention in the paper industry as a renewable resource due to its rapid growth cycle and lower environmental impact compared with conventional timber sources. By introducing bamboo pulp into its production lines, LC Paper seeks to expand the range of fibers used in its products and support a more circular and resilient supply chain.

Founded in 1881 and currently in its fifth generation of family ownership, LC Paper produces tissue and lightweight kraft paper used in hygiene products, packaging, and other applications. The company operates several production and processing facilities in the Girona region of Spain and employs around 150 people.

The move toward bamboo pulp aligns with LC Paper’s broader sustainability agenda, which includes increasing the use of recycled and alternative fibers, improving energy efficiency, and reducing environmental impacts across its manufacturing processes.
