A heavy-duty cardboard box manufacturing project in Liancheng County, Fujian Province, has entered partial production and is expected to reach full operational capacity in June 2026, according to local authorities and project operators.

The project is being developed by Longyan Angu Heavy Packaging Technology Co., Ltd. and is part of Liancheng County’s broader effort to strengthen its new building materials industry chain. The facility has a total investment of 33 million yuan and is located in the lithium battery industrial park within Liancheng Industrial Park.

The company has leased approximately 2,700 square meters in Factory Building No. 4 of the park’s No. 1 factory area to establish a heavy-duty cardboard box processing and production line. Once fully operational, the facility is expected to produce 4 million square meters of heavy-duty packaging cartons annually.

The project is designed to provide dedicated packaging support services for Fujian Saite New Materials, a leading enterprise in the county’s industrial chain. Local officials said the project is expected to reduce packaging and logistics costs while strengthening collaboration between upstream and downstream businesses.

According to the report, the project agreement was signed in March 2026, construction began the same month, and partial production has already commenced. Local government agencies, including Wenheng Town and the Liancheng Industrial Park Management Committee, supported the project through infrastructure coordination and site preparation services to accelerate implementation and equipment installation.

Liancheng County said it continues to focus on developing its new building materials sector by attracting supporting enterprises across the supply chain. Authorities said dozens of upstream and downstream companies have been introduced to help establish an integrated industrial ecosystem covering raw materials, manufacturing and end-use applications.

The county also said it is continuing efforts to improve the business environment and strengthen support services for industrial projects and manufacturers.
