Liansheng Pulp & Paper (Zhangzhou) Expansion Project Advances with Environmental Review Acceptance

　On March 18, the Zhangzhou Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment issued a public notice regarding the acceptance of the environmental impact assessment document for the expansion project of Liansheng Pulp & Paper (Zhangzhou) Co., Ltd.

　　The construction period for this expansion project is 6 years. The total investment is 17.6 billion yuan. The project involves the construction of an integrated pulp and paper production capacity of 5.57 million tons per year. Pulping includes a 1.207 million-ton/year chemical pulp project and a 90,000-ton/year chemimechanical pulp project. Paper production includes a 1.2 million-ton/year cultural paper project, a 510,000-ton/year sheet paper project, a 100,000-ton/year specialty packaging paper project, and a 680,000-ton/year high-grade information technology paper project.
