Mitsubishi Paper Mills Ltd. announced that it will implement price increases across all products in its Functional Products Business Division and Paper Materials Business Division, citing rising raw material, fuel and logistics costs.
The company said the increases are being driven by continued escalation in energy and transportation expenses linked to ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. Despite efforts to improve productivity and reduce operating expenses internally, Mitsubishi Paper Mills stated that maintaining current pricing levels has become difficult through cost-saving measures alone.
The price revision will apply to all products under the Functional Products Business Division, including information and image media products, functional materials, and medical and hygiene-related products.
The increase will also cover all products in the Paper Materials Business Division, including printing paper, information paper, paperboard, packaging paper, household paper and pulp products.
According to the company, prices will increase by 15% or more from current levels. The revised pricing will apply to shipments from 21 June 2026 onward.
Mitsubishi Paper Mills said further details regarding individual products and customer arrangements will be discussed separately with business partners.
The company stated that the adjustment is intended to ensure stable supply and maintain product quality standards amid rising operating costs.
