Global packaging and paper manufacturer Mondi has received a Gold rating in the latest sustainability assessment by EcoVadis, placing the company within the top 5% of all businesses evaluated by the platform.

EcoVadis assesses companies across four key sustainability areas: environmental impact, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement practices. The methodology, which was updated during the past year, evaluates organisations against 21 criteria spanning these categories.

Mondi said the recognition reflects the company’s sustainability strategy and its ongoing focus on transparency and continuous improvement across its operations and supply chain.

“We are proud to receive a Gold rating from EcoVadis and to remain ranked among the top companies globally,” said Gladys Naylor, Mondi’s Group Head of Sustainable Development.

“This rating reflects the strength of our sustainability ambition, strategy, and practices, and our long-term commitment to transparency and continuous improvement,” Naylor added.

The company also stated that EcoVadis continues to support its engagement with customers and suppliers while helping to drive sustainability improvements throughout its value chain.

EcoVadis is widely used by multinational companies to assess and monitor sustainability performance within global supply chains.
