Mondi has presented its semi-chemical fluting portfolio aimed at improving packaging performance in demanding supply chain conditions, including long-distance transport, cold storage and high-humidity environments.
The company’s range includes ProVantage Powerflute®, ProVantage Frescoflute and ProVantage Aquaflute, all designed to deliver strength, dimensional stability and resistance to moisture. These containerboard solutions are produced using 100% or predominantly fresh fibres, supporting durability across complex logistics and climate variations.
According to Mondi, ProVantage Powerflute® is manufactured from 100% fresh fibre and is intended for applications requiring maximum strength and resilience under changing environmental conditions. ProVantage Frescoflute is engineered to provide stability and compression strength during processing and storage, while ProVantage Aquaflute is designed for environments where short-term resistance to moisture and water exposure is required.
The company stated that consistent packaging performance is critical for protecting goods throughout transportation, particularly when exposed to fluctuating climates. Its semi-chemical fluting grades are used across sectors with demanding requirements, including fresh produce, dairy, frozen food, meat, poultry and seafood, as well as industrial, chemical and automotive applications.
Mondi added that optimising paper selection and combining different grades across corrugated packaging layers can enable “right-weighted” solutions, balancing material efficiency with product protection during converting, packing and distribution.
