Moorim Group, celebrating its 70th anniversary, is entering a crucial transition as third-generation leader Lee Do-gyun (48) takes a central role in steering the company’s future.
🔹 Leadership Structure
Lee Do-gyun, the group’s largest shareholder, now leads overall management as CEO of Moorim SP, Moorim Paper, and Moorim P&P, working alongside his father, Chairman Lee Dong-uk (78). The founding family holds a combined 61.41% stake in Moorim SP, maintaining strong control over the holding company.
🔹 Industry Headwinds
The traditional paper industry is under pressure as digital transformation reduces demand for printing paper, affecting performance at key subsidiaries like Moorim Paper.
🔹 Succession & Strategy
As the group gradually transitions to a third-generation leadership system, Lee Do-gyun’s immediate priority is strengthening profitability and repositioning the business for long-term growth.
📌 Looking Ahead
With a phased holding-company succession underway, Moorim’s next chapter will depend on how effectively its new leadership adapts to changing market dynamics while modernizing the group’s core paper business.
