N R Agarwal Industries has increased the planned capacity of its upcoming Multilayer Board Plant (Unit VI) at Dahej, Gujarat, from 1,020 tonnes per day (TPD) to 1,500 TPD following a technical evaluation, the company said in a regulatory disclosure.
The upgraded facility is expected to produce about 42,000 metric tonnes per month. The company said the paper machine for the project is being imported from China.
As part of the expansion, the estimated project cost has been revised to approximately ₹15 Billion. The land requirement for the facility has also been increased to around 150 acres to support the larger plant configuration.
The Dahej-based Unit VI project was previously disclosed by the company in filings dated July 31, 2025, and December 20, 2025. The latest revision was announced under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Regulations.
N R Agarwal Industries said it has appointed a foreign consultant for the project and has started the process of obtaining environmental clearance and other regulatory approvals required for the expansion.
The company manufactures paper and paperboard products and has been undertaking capacity expansion initiatives as part of its growth strategy. The enhanced scale of the Dahej project is expected to strengthen its multilayer board manufacturing capabilities.
