Nine Dragons Paper Plans 3-7 Day Maintenance Shutdowns for More Than 20 Paper Machines

Nine Dragons Paper plans to shut down more than 20 paper machines for maintenance for periods ranging from three to seven days during the National Day holiday, according to shutdown notices issued by several of the company's production bases.

Following an earlier notice from its Tianjin plant, the company's Dongguan, Taicang, Quanzhou, Chongqing and Beihai plants have also announced maintenance shutdowns.

At the Tianjin base, five machines will be shut down for seven days from October 1 to October 7: kraft paper machine PM25, corrugated paper machines PM26 and PM31, recycled paper machine PM27, and whiteboard paper machine PM34.

The Beihai base will shut down its PM48 kraft paper machine for four days from October 1 to October 4. At Taicang, kraft paper machines PM8 and PM29, corrugated paper machines PM17 and PM30, and gray-bottom white paper machine PM20 will be shut down for three to four days between October 1 and October 4.

Nine Dragons' Quanzhou base plans to halt kraft and corrugated paper machines PM36 and PM39 for four to five days between October 1 and October 7.

At the Dongguan base, kraft paper machines PM3, PM12, PM13 and PM19, corrugated paper machines PM6, PM7 and PM18, and whiteboard paper machine PM4 will be shut down for three to five days from October 1 to October 7.

The Chongqing base will suspend operations of corrugated paper machine PM23 and whiteboard paper machine PM33 for three days from October 1 to October 4.

The notices describe the shutdowns as maintenance-related and cover production bases across several regions of China.
