Oji Holdings Corporation has been awarded an ‘A’ rating in water security by CDP for the second consecutive year, recognizing the company’s transparency and performance in managing water-related risks.

The company was included in CDP’s highest-ranking Water Security ‘A List’ for 2025, following its initial inclusion in 2024. In addition, Oji Holdings has maintained a position on CDP’s Forests ‘A List’ (Timber) for four consecutive years, reflecting sustained performance in forest-related environmental management.

CDP, a global non-profit organization that operates an environmental disclosure system, evaluates companies on their environmental impact and transparency across areas including water security, climate change, and forests.

Oji Group’s initiatives include assessing water-related risks across operations, reducing water withdrawal through circular water use, and purifying wastewater to support ecosystem conservation. The company also engages with local stakeholders on water-related issues.

The group’s forest assets also contribute to water resource management. According to the company, forests it owns and manages in Japan, covering 188,000 hectares, have an estimated water cultivation capacity of approximately 5.1 million cubic meters per day. This is equivalent to the daily water usage of around 16.9 million people, supporting stable water supply.

Oji stated that its recognition reflects ongoing efforts to enhance environmental disclosures and strengthen water conservation practices, aligned with its management philosophy of “Harmony with Nature and Society.”
