Oji Holdings Selected for SOMPO Sustainability Index for Eighth Consecutive Year

Oji Holdings Corporation has been selected as a constituent of the SOMPO Sustainability Index for the eighth consecutive year, the company announced on June 23.

The index is used as the benchmark for SOMPO Asset Management Co., Ltd.’s Sustainable Investment strategy, which targets pension funds and institutional investors and focuses on companies with strong environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance.

According to Oji Holdings, the SOMPO Sustainability Index is a proprietary active index composed of approximately 300 companies recognized for their ESG initiatives. The index serves as the basis for a long-term investment strategy that broadly invests in companies with high ESG ratings.

Constituent companies are reviewed annually based on the results of the Environmental Management Survey and ESG Management Survey conducted by SOMPO Risk Management Co., Ltd. Oji Holdings said its continued inclusion reflects recognition of its ESG-related efforts.

The company stated that its selection for the 2026 index marks the eighth consecutive year it has been included among the index constituents.

Oji Holdings said it will continue to pursue initiatives that consider environmental, social, and economic factors as part of its efforts to contribute to sustainability.

The company added that it remains committed to advancing sustainability-related activities across its business operations and throughout the Oji Group.
