PAC Machinery, in collaboration with CMES Robotics USA and FANUC America, will demonstrate a fully integrated automated bagging solution featuring AI-driven robotic piece-picking technology at Automate 2026, scheduled for June 22–25 at McCormick Place in Chicago.

The system, which will be showcased live at FANUC America’s booth (S-1001), combines PAC Machinery’s Rollbag R3200XL Fulfillment Paper Automatic Bagger with CMES Robotics USA’s AI Vision System and a FANUC collaborative robotic arm. The integrated setup is designed to create a seamless pick-to-pack workflow for fulfillment operations.

According to the companies, the demonstration will highlight how robotics, artificial intelligence and automated packaging technologies can be used to increase throughput, reduce manual labor requirements, improve packaging consistency and support sustainability initiatives in high-volume fulfillment environments. The solution is designed to handle a wide range of product types without requiring custom tooling or extensive system reconfiguration.

The packaging line will run PAC Machinery’s Fiberflex curbside recyclable paper mailers. The system is also capable of processing either paper or poly materials, with tool-free changeovers intended to help fulfillment operations adapt to changing sustainability requirements while maintaining productivity.

PAC Machinery said the Rollbag R3200XL automatically prints and applies shipping and barcode information directly onto packages and can package products up to four times faster than traditional hand-packing and boxing processes. Fiberflex pre-opened bags contain a minimum of 50% recycled content, while rollstock versions are available with up to 100% recycled content. The company’s poly mailers are available with recycled-content options ranging up to 100%.

The Automate 2026 demonstration follows the system’s debut at PACK EXPO Las Vegas 2025 and marks the second collaboration between PAC Machinery and CMES Robotics USA around the integrated packaging and robotics platform.

Automate 2026 is organized by the Association for Advancing Automation (A3) and is expected to bring together more than 50,000 professionals focused on robotics, AI, vision and automation technologies.
