Paracel Publishes 2025 Sustainability Report Highlighting Progress in Forestry, Industrial Development and ESG Performance

Paracel has released its 2025 Sustainability Report, outlining the company's environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance and progress in advancing its forestry operations and future pulp mill project in Paraguay. The report covers the period from January 1 to December 31, 2025 and was prepared in accordance with the GRI Standards (2021), while also considering ISO 26000 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

According to the report, Paracel had executed US$1.4 billion in investments since the start of its operations by the end of 2025. The company reported 180,792 hectares under FSC® certification, more than 80,000 hectares under restoration processes, and the completion of the validation and verification audit for its ARR carbon project.

Paracel said it generated 1,126 direct jobs during 2025, with 68% of employees coming from the Department of Concepción. The company also invested US$1.65 million in sustainability initiatives during the year and continued implementing programmes aligned with 15 Sustainable Development Goals.

On the industrial side, Paracel completed 6 million cubic metres of earthworks at the future industrial development site in Paso Horqueta and concluded the technical studies required for the planned pulp mill and industrial hub. The company also reported that BID Invest granted a mandate in 2025 to structure financing for construction of the project.

The report highlights additional milestones achieved in 2025, including more than 3.06 million work hours without a lost-time accident in the industrial component, a 52% reduction in forest fire outbreaks, and expansion of community programmes that reached more than 22,000 people across 11 districts in the departments of Concepción and Amambay.

Paracel stated that it remains focused on expanding its forestry base, developing its industrial complex and strengthening logistics infrastructure as it advances the country's first integrated pulp and forestry project.
