Pratt Industries is expanding its corrugating facility in Rockwall, Texas, with a project expected to bring $90 million in capital investment and create 100 new jobs, according to the Rockwall Economic Development Corporation (REDC).
The company, described as the world’s largest privately held producer of 100% recycled containerboard and the fifth-largest corrugated packaging company in the United States, first opened its corrugating facility in Rockwall Technology Park in 2017. The facility occupies approximately 30 acres.
Under the expansion plan, Pratt will add approximately 346,000 square feet to the existing plant, increasing the total building size to about 736,000 square feet.
REDC President Matt Wavering said the expansion reflects Pratt’s continued commitment to the Rockwall community and highlights the company's growth in the region. He noted that the project will add manufacturing capacity while generating new employment opportunities.
Pratt Industries Executive Chairman Anthony Pratt said the expansion will increase production capacity and introduce additional technology to support customers. He added that the project complements the company’s existing manufacturing, recycling and transportation network across Texas and the surrounding region.
The investment further strengthens Rockwall’s position as a center for advanced manufacturing and sustainable industry, according to REDC. Local officials said the project aligns with the community’s economic development strategy of attracting businesses that contribute investment and job creation.
Construction and equipment installation will be carried out in phases. Full operations are expected after completion of the new corrugator line and associated facility upgrades.
