Pratt Industries has inaugurated a 496,000 square foot corrugated box facility in Warner Robins, Georgia, dedicated to fruit and vegetable packaging and creating more than 100 local jobs. The plant produces produce boxes using recycled materials, supporting growers with customized, sustainable packaging that protects crops during stacking, transport and cold‑storage handling. At the opening, U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins highlighted that the new factory comes amid one of the toughest farm economies in decades, with farmers squeezed by sharply higher input costs, including fuel, fertilizer, labour and interest rates. Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tyler Harper stressed that the project strengthens the state’s farm economy by tying recycled packaging manufacturing directly to agricultural supply chains, underscoring agriculture’s role as an economic backbone for both Georgia and the wider United States.
