ProAmpac announced a definitive agreement to acquire TC Transcontinental Packaging (TCP) from TC Transcontinental for US $1.51 billion, with the transaction expected to close in Q1 2026 pending approvals. TCP, generating approximately US $1.2 billion in revenue for the year ending July 2025, operates 25 production plants across North America, Latin America, the UK, and New Zealand. This acquisition will expand ProAmpac’s footprint in sustainable packaging and material science, particularly in dairy, meat, medical, and pharmaceutical markets. The combined entity aims to accelerate development of advanced packaging solutions such as barrier films, mono-material structures, and fiber-based products, supporting customer sustainability goals. ProAmpac CEO Greg Tucker highlighted the strategic fit and shared values between the companies. TC Transcontinental’s Executive Chair Isabelle Marcoux expressed confidence in the cultural and business alignment, marking a significant milestone for both organizations.
