RDM Group has obtained ISCC PLUS certification for its Fiskeby mill in Sweden, strengthening its commitment to circular economy principles and sustainable packaging production.
The certification enables the company to offer packaging board produced with polymer coatings derived from advanced recycling sources. It also confirms compliance with a globally recognized sustainability and traceability framework, ensuring transparent, third-party verified tracking of circular feedstocks throughout the value chain.
The milestone supports RDM Group’s strategy to develop barrier and functional cartonboard solutions that combine high levels of circularity with reduced carbon footprints. The company said the certification aligns its operations with upcoming European regulatory requirements, including the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation and evolving Green Claims rules.
“Achieving ISCC PLUS certification is a key step in our journey toward a fully circular production model,” said Krzysztof Krajewski. “It not only guarantees transparent, third-party verified tracking of recycled content but also strengthens our ability to provide customers with innovative packaging solutions that meet the highest sustainability standards.”
RDM Group said the certification will support the gradual scale-up of advanced recycling technologies while maintaining product quality, food safety, supply reliability, and manufacturing efficiency. The approach is increasingly recognized across the packaging and chemical industries as essential for enabling circularity and reducing carbon emissions.
With the certification, the company positions itself among early adopters of ISCC PLUS in the recycled cartonboard sector, reinforcing its alignment with sustainability targets and growing customer demand for verified recycled content.
