Sanabel Al Ataa has successfully started up its second tissue machine, PM2 (TM2), marking another significant milestone in the company’s expansion and development of its tissue-paper manufacturing capabilities.

The successful startup follows months of preparation, engineering, coordination, commissioning, and teamwork involving Sanabel Al Ataa’s technical and operational teams, together with its technology and raw material partners.

The new PM2 tissue machine, supplied by Baosuo, has a design speed of 1,600 m/min, a machine width of 3.65 metres, and an annual production capacity of approximately 26,000 tonnes.

The startup of PM2 follows the commissioning of Sanabel Al Ataa’s first Baosuo-supplied tissue machine, PM1, in 2025. PM1 operates at a design speed of 1,600 m/min, with a width of 2.85 metres and an annual production capacity of approximately 21,000 tonnes.

With both machines now successfully operational, Sanabel Al Ataa has reached a combined tissue-paper production capacity of approximately 47,000 tonnes per year.
