SCGP is investing approximately THB 748 million to expand its paper packaging business at the facility of Vina Kraft Paper Co., Ltd. (VKPC) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
The investment is intended to support growing demand for paper packaging in Vietnam, where demand is expected to increase by approximately 7% annually. The project will also aim to strengthen operational synergies with VKPC and improve competitiveness across the supply chain.
As part of the expansion, SCGP plans to introduce advanced automation technologies to improve production efficiency. The project is expected to add 26,800 tons per year of capacity for high-quality corrugated packaging.
The investment forms part of SCGP’s strategy to expand its manufacturing network and strengthen its service capabilities in Vietnam. The company said the expansion is intended to support customers’ growth while reinforcing its integrated production and service network across ASEAN.
Commercial operations for the expanded capacity are expected to begin by September 2027.
