Shunxing Paper Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Qingliang Sign Agreement for 800,000-Tonne Paper Production Project

Shunxing Paper Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Qingliang have signed a new strategic cooperation agreement covering paper machine equipment for an annual production capacity of 800,000 tonnes.

The agreement includes the supply of one double-wire paper machine and one triple-wire paper machine, further expanding the long-term cooperation between the two companies.

Thuan An and Thuan Hung, both part of the same group in Vietnam, have previously worked with Shanghai Qingliang on multiple paper machine projects. Shanghai Qingliang earlier supplied two high-speed paper machines, PM7 and PM8, each with a width of 5,400 mm and an operating speed of 900 metres per minute.

According to the companies, PM7 entered operation in January 2019, while PM8 started operation in May 2024. PM8 has since been upgraded to 1,100 metres per minute.

The companies said the latest agreement supports Shun’an Group’s modernization and internationalization strategy and reflects continued cooperation in paper manufacturing development projects in Vietnam.

Shanghai Qingliang said the project is expected to be implemented based on previous project experience and aims to support further development of the Southeast Asian paper market.

The companies added that they plan to continue expanding cooperation in regional paper industry projects and related manufacturing investments.
