Star Paper Mill Launches Recycled Containerboard Mill in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, UAE – Star Paper Mill Paper Industry LLC has commenced start-up operations at its recycled containerboard mill located in KEZAD, Abu Dhabi, marking a new development in the UAE’s paper and packaging sector.

The facility is designed to convert waste paper into containerboard products used in packaging applications, supporting efforts to expand recycling capacity and promote circular economy practices in the country.

The company stated that the start-up represents a key milestone achieved amid challenging market conditions, reflecting both operational resilience and continued investment in sustainable manufacturing.

The project aligns with broader national initiatives aimed at reducing waste and increasing the use of recycled materials in industrial production. By processing recovered paper into finished packaging materials, the mill is expected to contribute to resource efficiency within the UAE’s manufacturing ecosystem.
