Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Appoints Kumar Jayant as Chairman and Managing Director

Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Limited (TNPL) has appointed Thiru Kumar Jayant, I.A.S. as its new Chairman and Managing Director following approval by the company's shareholders through a postal ballot.

The company also announced the appointment of Dr. S. Vijayakumar, I.A.S. as a Director on its Board.

According to the company, Kumar Jayant holds Director Identification Number (DIN) 01820616, while Dr. Vijayakumar's DIN is 01764064.

The appointments represent a governance update for the state-controlled paper and paper products manufacturer. TNPL said the appointments align with the company's governance structure and its relationship with the Government of Tamil Nadu.

Shareholders approved both appointments through the postal ballot process, formalizing the addition of the two officials to the company's Board of Directors.

Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Limited is engaged in the manufacture of paper, paperboard, and related products in India.
