TekniPlex Consumer Products, a leader in advanced materials science for food packaging, will showcase its latest protein tray and egg carton innovations at the International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) 2026, held January 27–29 in Atlanta at Booth B36029. The company highlights the new TekniTray™ portfolio unifying its protein tray technologies, spanning polystyrene to high-barrier and sustainable options for meat, poultry, and fresh proteins. These trays ensure product protection, extended shelf life, and operational efficiency tailored to specific needs.

The TekniTray™ lineup includes TekniTray™ Air, a high-performance PS tray in over 50 sizes and 8 colors; TekniTray™ LightAir for lightweight retail use; TekniTray™ CircularAir, a recyclable low-density PP tray; TekniTray™ Forta, rigid PET trays with shatter resistance; TekniTray™ Protek for MAP applications; and TekniTray™ Ready for heat-resistant ready-meals. Upcoming TekniTray™ BioAir offers compostable biobased materials.

Eldon Schaffer, CEO of TekniPlex Consumer Products, stated: “Our TekniTray™ reflects TekniPlex's commitment to applying materials science to solve real-world challenges in protein packaging. By offering a broad range of tray materials and performance options, TekniPlex helps customers find what fits their needs best while protecting their products, optimizing operations, and supporting their sustainability goals.”

Alongside protein innovations, TekniPlex features fiber-based egg cartons like Fiber ProPlus™ and Fiber ProPlus™ HD, using dried-in-mold technology for humidity resistance, egg protection, and equipment compatibility. The company’s new 200,000-square-foot molded fiber plant in Van Wert, Ohio—its eighth facility—is fully operational, boosting capacity. Upcoming Q2 2026 PET bi-fold egg cartons from post-consumer recycled PET are 15% lighter than tri-folds, reducing material use.

Recent strategic acquisitions expand TekniPlex’s sustainable solutions for protein and egg markets, prioritizing safety and satisfaction.
