The Royal Group Acquires Chillicothe Packaging to Expand Ohio Operations

Chillicothe, Ohio, USA – The Royal Group (TRG) has acquired Chillicothe Packaging and its business unit, Churmac Industries, both based in Chillicothe, Ohio. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The acquisition supports TRG’s strategic growth plans in Ohio and strengthens its presence in the regional packaging market. Chillicothe Packaging has operated for 48 years, providing custom corrugated packaging and shipping solutions from a 49,000-square-foot facility. The company is known for its manufacturing capabilities, in-house design services, and customer-focused approach, while Churmac Industries specializes in single-face corrugated products.

TRG said integrating Chillicothe Packaging’s operations will enhance capacity and ensure continued service for customers of both organizations.

“We are excited to welcome Chillicothe Packaging and Churmac Industries to TRG,” said Bryan Fagan, senior vice president and regional general manager. “This acquisition aligns with our strategic growth plans in Ohio and positions us for continued expansion across the region.”

Mike McCarty, president of Chillicothe Packaging, said the deal represents an important step in the company’s evolution, citing alignment with TRG’s culture and national reach as key factors in the partnership.

The existing leadership teams at both Chillicothe Packaging and Churmac Industries will remain in place to support a seamless transition.

Chillicothe Packaging will continue operating its facility in Chillicothe, offering corrugated packaging solutions, while Churmac Industries will maintain its focus on single-face corrugated products.
