TNPL Reports Q3 FY26 Improvement in Paper & Packaging Performance

Chennai, January 29, 2026 – Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Limited (TNPL) reported improved financial and operational performance in its Paper and Packaging Board segment for the quarter ended 31 December 2025, supported by higher production volumes and a focus on premium and higher realisation products.
Financial Performance – Q3 FY26
Total Revenue stood at ₹1,146.06 crore, compared with ₹1,136.79 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
EBITDA for the quarter was ₹140.57 crore, more than doubling from ₹65.75 crore in Q3 FY25.
After depreciation, amortisation and finance costs, the company reported a Profit Before Tax (PBT) of ₹11.79 crore, compared with a loss of ₹64.64 crore in the same quarter last year.
Profit After Tax (PAT) improved to ₹6.77 crore, versus a loss of ₹42.89 crore in Q3 FY25.
Nine-Month Performance (9M FY26)
Total revenue for the nine months ended 31 December 2025 increased to ₹3,428.99 crore, from ₹3,194.51 crore in the corresponding period last year.
EBITDA stood at ₹395.85 crore, compared with ₹365.04 crore in 9M FY25.
PBT improved to ₹12.90 crore, compared with a loss of ₹25.54 crore in the previous year period.
PAT turned positive at ₹7.45 crore, against a loss of ₹18.40 crore in 9M FY25.
Production Highlights
Paper production (Q3 FY26) increased to 112,510 MT, compared with 99,954 MT in Q3 FY25.
Packaging Board production (Q3 FY26) was 47,085 MT, compared with 47,524 MT in the corresponding quarter last year.
Paper production (9M FY26) rose to 325,979 MT, from 315,476 MT in 9M FY25.
Packaging Board production (9M FY26) increased to 147,127 MT, compared with 137,139 MT in the corresponding period last year.
