Tokushu Tokai Paper Co. Ltd. has entered a license agreement with TOMOEGAWA CORPORATION for know-how on manufacturing and selling Electrical Insulating Paper, plus a basic agreement for inventory asset transfer.
This deal supports growth in the company's paper and environment-related businesses by stabilizing revenue through existing operations and shifting product mixes toward high-growth areas. It anticipates rising transformer demand from renewable energy facilities and data centers in Japan and overseas.
Tokushu Tokai Paper plans to produce and market products matching the quality of Tomoegawa's Electrical Insulating Paper for transformers, targeting insulation markets including high heat-resistant, high-insulation Aramid Paper. The license covers know-how use for manufacturing and sales in and outside Japan.
Acquired inventories equal about one year's estimated sales volume. The license grant fee totals ¥100 million.
