TOPPAN Inc. (TOPPAN), a TOPPAN Group company and wholly owned subsidiary of TOPPAN Holdings Inc. (TYO: 7911), today announced that Thailand-based folding carton packaging manufacturer Siam Toppan Packaging Co., Ltd. (Siam Toppan) has been presented with a total of six packaging awards in Asia.

Siam Toppan received one award at the AsiaStar 2025 Awards1, four at the ThailandStar Packaging Awards 20262, and another at the ThaiPDA Awards 20263. All the award-winning solutions are characterized by a combination of environmental consideration through the use of paper materials and creating playful consumer experiences. The packaging was rated highly for its design excellence, a vital component in creating an emotional connection between consumers and brands, while also adopting reuse and recycling friendly approaches.

The award ceremony for all these prizes was held on June 11, 2026, during the PROPAK ASIA 2026 international packaging exhibition in Bangkok, Thailand.

Overview and Key Features of the Award-Winning Products

The five award-winning products (one of which received a joint award) are as follows:

1. AsiaStar 2025 Awards (Gift Package Category)
Product name: Unfolding Serenity – A Display Gift Box of Light and Natural Scent

A two-layer gift box designed to create an unforgettable impression for the New Year. The top layer features a pop-up structure revealing a 3D pine forest with elegant gold foil hot stamping, which beautifully reflects candlelight like stars and displays the product in a serene scene. The bottom layer seamlessly houses a scented candle and reed diffuser. Made entirely of paper, it is recyclable and offers a sustainable design that can be reused as an attractive storage box after use.

2. ThailandStar Packaging Awards 2026 & ThaiPDA Awards 2026 (Consumer Package Category)
Product name: Mystery Box of T-Pants (Ten of Popular Thai’s Pants Collection)

Designed as a modern souvenir packaging solution, this collection incorporates a "mystery box" concept where the contents remain a surprise until opened. The packaging features trouser motifs representing 10 iconic local textile designs from 9 Thai provinces, including a collectible Secret Edition. Incorporating a side-sliding opening mechanism and a perforated tear-open structure, it delivers an exciting unboxing experience. Built with environmental responsibility, it uses FSC®-certified paper and mineral-oil-free inks to avoid petroleum-derived components.

3. ThailandStar Packaging Awards 2026 (Consumer Package Category)
Product name: D.I.Y. Box Set Daifuku

Developed for Mother's Day in Thailand under the concept “The best gift is spending time together,” this experiential gift set turns traditional dessert making into an engaging storytelling journey. The packaging is presented as a three-volume book set titled “The Theory of Making Daifuku,” dividing ingredients (Daifuku premix, green tea paste/red bean paste, and dusting powder) across each book. By replacing conventional instruction manuals with a seamless “read as you make” experience, it fosters precious family connection and shared happiness in just 45 minutes.

4. ThailandStar Packaging Awards 2026 (Consumer Package Category)
Product name: Oob Kod Sending nature’s touch

A hand cream gift set designed to provide a gentle escape from fast-paced urban lifestyles by reconnecting consumers with Thai heritage and nature. Inspired by a letter box, opening the package reveals a pop-up display of natural ingredients that tells the story of local farming communities through scent and storytelling. Its square-shaped structure optimizes transportation efficiency, and a common structural design across three fragrances minimizes material consumption. Over 85% of the packaging is transformed into practical items like postcards, a desk calendar, or a DIY photo frame, utilizing plastic-free paper and naturally biodegradable coatings.

5. ThailandStar Packaging Awards 2026 (Consumer Package Category)
*Joint award with Thai Lotte Co., Ltd.
Product name: Koala’s March Christmas Tree

A playful DIY package that maximizes the distinctive hexagonal structure of the iconic Koala's March box. The box transforms into a charming mini Christmas tree complete with paper tree components, stars, and decorative ornaments. Encouraging festive creativity, the entire structure is crafted from paper, making it easy to recycle while extending the packaging's lifecycle beyond its primary purpose to serve as a festive decoration.
