Toscotec Starts Up Pm5 Ahead 2.2l Tissue Line For Saudi Paper Group In Saudi Arabia

Toscotec has started up the new PM5 AHEAD 2.2L tissue line for Saudi Paper Group (SPG) at its Dammam mill, further expanding SPG’s production capacity in Saudi Arabia. Supplied on a turnkey basis, PM5 is a double‑width AHEAD 2.2L machine with a trim width of around 5.6 m, design speed of 2,200 m/min and an annual capacity above 60,000 tonnes of tissue for toilet, towel and facial products. The line is equipped with TT NextPress shoe press, a third‑generation TT SYD steel Yankee dryer and a high‑efficiency TT Hood, integrated into a gas‑turbine‑based energy concept to maximise energy efficiency and reduce operating costs. Together with Toscotec’s stock preparation, approach flow and OPTIMA rewinders, PM5 lifts SPG’s overall tissue capacity by about 65,000 tonnes, backing its GCC and MENA market growth strategy.
