Toscotec to Start up PM3 at Papeterie Le Bourray After Implementing Drying Section Rebuild

Toscotec started up the PM3 after the complete rebuild of the drying section at the Papeterie Le Bourray mill. This repeat order follows the successful PM4 rebuild in 2020 – where a state-of-the-art forming section helped the mill achieve its target.

This pivotal project supports the mill in achieving energy consumption reduction, marking a tangible commitment to a greener future. This aligns with the company’s sustainability objectives, by fostering a local circular economy and transforming recycled wastepaper into regenerative resources through a greener manufacturing process.

A tailor-made solution

Toscotec delivered a custom rebuild and upgrade of the existing machine, focusing on a significant optimization of its efficiency to produce facial, toilet, napkin, and towel paper. Toscotec’s efforts focused on modernizing the drying section with advanced technology, including primarily the replacement of the cast iron Yankee Dryer with a new-generation Steel Yankee TT SYD-12 FT, new high-efficiency hybrid gas-fired hoods, and a new steam and condensate system. This strategic enhancement reduces energy consumption while maintaining a consistent production capacity vital to the customer’s success. To ensure the plant reaches its full potential, Toscotec is providing a comprehensive service package, including supervision, babysitting, and training to complete the on-site assistance.
