TRG Packaging and Display Solutions Acquires Columbia Container to Expand Mid-Atlantic Presence

TRG Packaging and Display Solutions has acquired Columbia Container Corp., a corrugated packaging manufacturer based in Maryland, in a move aimed at strengthening the company’s operations and customer reach in the Mid-Atlantic region.

The acquisition expands TRG’s manufacturing footprint and enhances its ability to serve customers across key East Coast markets. Columbia Container has operated for decades in the corrugated packaging sector, providing custom packaging products and services to a range of industries.

TRG said the transaction aligns with its strategy to grow through targeted acquisitions while increasing production capabilities and geographic coverage. The company added that Columbia Container’s operational expertise and established customer relationships complement TRG’s existing packaging and display business.

Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

TRG Packaging and Display Solutions provides packaging, point-of-purchase displays and supply chain solutions for consumer and industrial markets. The company said the integration of Columbia Container will support continued growth and improve service responsiveness for regional customers.

Columbia Container will continue operating under its existing management team as part of the integration process.

The acquisition reflects ongoing consolidation activity in the North American corrugated and packaging industry as companies seek expanded production networks and closer proximity to customers.
