Russian packaging materials producer Troitskaya Paper Mill JSC has confirmed that its management systems comply with international standards for quality management and food safety following an independent audit.
The company said its quality management system meets the requirements of GOST R ISO 9001-2015, the national version of the ISO 9001 standard, ensuring process stability and consistent product quality.
The audit also assessed compliance with FSSC 22000 version 6, which sets stricter requirements for manufacturers of food-contact packaging materials such as parchment and wrapping paper. The updated standard includes enhanced controls for preventing raw material fraud, strengthening environmental monitoring in production areas, and managing allergens and cross-contamination risks.
Elena Dernova, CEO of Troitskaya Paper Mill, said compliance with ISO standards plays a key role in managing business risks and improving operational efficiency. “Compliance with ISO standards isn't a formality, but a tool for managing business risks and improving operational efficiency,” she said, adding that the approach supports transparency and consistent product quality.
According to the audit, the company demonstrated strong management commitment to quality, as well as active employee involvement in maintaining and improving its quality management and food safety systems. The auditor also highlighted the company’s structured approach to monitoring and forecasting food safety risks and its overall production process management.
