Valmet has reached another construction milestone at the Sucuriú Project, described as the world’s largest pulp mill built in a single phase, with progress on the installation of the power boiler and related components.
According to project materials, the power boiler structure is “beginning to take shape,” with major installation activities involving top beams, air preheaters and the steam drum. The project documentation highlights the scale and precision of the lifting and assembly operations associated with the boiler installation.
Images from the construction site show heavy-lift crane operations and structural assembly work underway as part of the broader development of the pulp mill complex. The materials also reference a scheduled boiler drum lifting in April 2026.
Valmet said the latest stage “reinforces the construction of the Sucuriú Project,” emphasizing the company’s role in providing technology, engineering and execution for the development.
The Sucuriú Project is positioned as a major industrial investment in the pulp sector, with Valmet supplying key process and energy infrastructure for the facility.
