Valmet Technology Supports Successful Start-up of Anhui Linping’s Board Line PM 8

Valmet has announced the successful start-up of a new board making line, PM 8, delivered to Anhui Linping Circular Development Co., Ltd. in China. The line, based on Valmet’s OptiConcept M technology, started up on March 6, 2026, marking an important milestone in the collaboration between the two companies.

The new production line is designed to manufacture recycled liner and fluting grades, supporting Anhui Linping’s strategy to expand capacity while advancing sustainability and circular economy goals through the efficient use of recycled fiber.

“This milestone achievement is a testament to the strong collaboration and trust between our teams,” said Jianshe Li, Chairman of Anhui Linping Circular Development. “With Valmet’s technology, we aim to reduce energy consumption and increase production capacity, supporting our business expansion strategy. We look forward to further optimizing PM 8’s performance and profitability after start-up.”

The project was completed through close cooperation between Valmet and Anhui Linping teams, overcoming challenges during the construction phase and ensuring that the board line started up according to schedule.

Technical details of the delivery

Valmet’s delivery included a complete high-speed containerboard production line from headboxes to reel. The machine features OptiFlo Fourdrinier headboxes, an OptiFormer Multi forming section, an OptiPress Center press section, and an OptiRun Hybrid dryer section. It also includes an OptiSizer Film sizer, OptiCalender Hard calender, and OptiReel Linear reel. The delivery was complemented by Valmet DNA automation solutions, digital services, and spare parts packages.

The board machine has a wire width of 9,300 mm and is designed to produce recycled liner and fluting grades for packaging applications.
