Algerian tissue producer Warak, a Faderco Group subsidiary, has placed its third tissue line order with Valmet—an Advantage DCT 200TS machine with extensive automation—to double production capacity at a new mill in Mostaganem, Algeria. This investment adds 65,000 annual tons of high-quality tissue for domestic and export markets, building on prior Valmet installations that set efficiency benchmarks in Northern Africa. The state-of-the-art line emphasizes low energy and water use alongside superior output consistency.

The 5.6-meter-wide machine reaches a design speed of 2,200 m/min, featuring complete stock preparation, the Advantage DCT 200TS tissue machine, two Focus rewinders, and auxiliaries. Valmet's delivery includes the DNA Automation System for process and machine controls, plus full mill engineering, installation supervision, training, start-up, and commissioning scheduled for Q1 2027. The order falls within Valmet's Q4 2025 orders received, though its value remains undisclosed.

Amor Habes, Faderco Group CEO, noted: "Energy and water efficiency are critical in our region, and Valmet's technology has already proven its performance across our previous installations. Our existing tissue machines operate with low water consumption, and the flexible Advantage ViscoNip press has demonstrated its ability to reduce energy use while enhancing paper quality. These technologies directly support our ambition to expand our international footprint, by enabling reliable, high-quality production for demanding export markets across Southern Europe, the UK, and Africa."

Kent Nika, Valmet Sales Director, added: "We're proud to continue the journey with Faderco Group. This new line will bring more sustainable production that helps our customers stay ahead in a competitive market."
