Voith Wins German Sustainability Award For Infinity Green Press Felts Recycling

Voith has received the German Sustainability Award in the Resources category for its Infinity +Green press felts, recognizing the innovative closed recycling loop that enables unlimited cycles without quality loss. The award, presented on December 5, 2025, in Düsseldorf, highlights how these press felts—used in paper web drying—reduce waste from the typical 15,000 tons generated annually worldwide by conventional felts that require frequent replacement. Made from a single polyamide type, Infinity +Green felts partner with Aquafil S.p.A. for efficient depolymerization into ECONYL granulate, cutting the carbon footprint by up to 31 percent while maintaining full performance. Production uses green electricity, including from Voith’s own hydroelectric plant, advancing circular economy principles in paper manufacturing. This marks Voith Paper’s continued sustainability leadership, following prior recognitions like the 2022 Design Vision award.​
