Bellmer completed another project with Vreden Paper Mill by constructing the top wire section of PM3, featuring a new TurboJetter headbox with integrated TurboSuspender. This setup ensures even stock flow distribution despite irregular feed speeds from pipe bends.

The TurboJetter produces a homogeneous cross-profile and superior sheet formation. Its diffuser elements, customized to production needs, break down microflocs effectively, yielding improved sheet structure and paper quality.

Vreden Paper Mill manufactures high-quality corrugated base papers from 100% recycled fiber, pioneering sustainability through closed water circuits, self-generated electricity, and heat recovery. The PM3 upgrade finished on schedule, with quality gains visible soon after startup.

Vreden now operates four Bellmer headboxes across top and bottom wires of its two paper machines. Technical Director Jens Bußmann stated: “Bellmer has been a reliable partner for us for many years, understanding our requirements and implementing them with excellent technical expertise. Our collaboration is characterized by mutual trust, high professional competence, and a clear focus on quality and sustainability.”.

The project achieved goals of enhanced paper quality and expanded production capacity for Kraftliner replacement.
