London, UK – Wine Box Company (WBC), a trading division of Premier Paper Group Limited, has acquired wholesale packaging business Transpack Limited in a move to strengthen its packaging offering and expand group capabilities.

Founded in 1953, Transpack supplies polythene bags, cellophane bags and eco-friendly packaging solutions. The acquisition is described as complementary to WBC’s existing operations, enhancing the group’s product range, expertise and capacity within its packaging division.

Michael Beever, Group CEO of Premier Paper Group, said the deal supports the company’s broader strategy to grow its packaging activities. He noted that Transpack would be a valuable addition to WBC, which the group acquired in 2022, and highlighted shared values across the businesses as a basis for future collaboration.

Simon Wright, Managing Director of WBC, said the addition of Transpack would significantly enhance the group’s product portfolio and strengthen its ability to deliver solution-driven packaging. He added that the acquisition supports existing growth plans within the division.

Craig Schweitzer, Managing Director of Transpack, said joining WBC and Premier Paper Group marks a new phase for the company, enabling access to a wider range of products, services and innovations while maintaining its customer service standards.

Transpack will continue to operate from its Southampton offices and warehouse. WBC maintains offices in Herne Hill and warehouse facilities in Crawley.

Premier Paper reported consolidated turnover of £285 million in 2024 and supplies paper, packaging and materials across the UK market. The company is part of OVOL Japan Pulp & Paper Co., Ltd., which operates in 21 countries with turnover exceeding $3 billion.
