Zeus Acquires Koex Packaging Solutions

Zeus Packaging Group, a Dublin-headquartered global packaging solutions provider founded in 1988 by Brian O’Sullivan, completed the acquisition of KOEX Packaging Solutions, a Spanish-headquartered specialist in luxury and retail packaging. The deal, valued at around €24 million, marks Zeus's first acquisition of 2026 and follows recent buys including JJ O’Toole, Boxmart, Smith Bateson, Swanline Group, and Simpac. KOEX, with sister company Koex LLC in Miami, employs 45 staff across Madrid, Paris, Miami, and China, generating €25 million in annual turnover serving brands like Massimo Dutti, Pull&Bear, Fnac, Burger King, and Reebok. The acquisition enhances Zeus's specialty, luxury retail, and sustainable offerings, expanding to 65 production and logistics sites across Ireland, UK, Europe, and North America. Zeus reported FY Dec 2024 turnover of €468 million and EBITDA of €39.3 million with 1,500 employees in 42 countries. Group CFO Sean O’Keeffe drives M&A strategy, supported by €150 million financing from AIB and international lenders, targeting €600 million revenue for FY Dec 2026. New non-exec directors Brian O’Kelly and Paul Hogan join the board.
